If you have ever considered leaving a gift in your will to thank Redland Hospital, you can contact Carolyn Schuwalow via email carolyns@pafoundation.org.au or phone 0484 866 041

How long have you worked as the Senior Philanthropy Manager for PA Research Foundation and the Redland Hospital Fund?

I have had the privilege of holding this role for more than seven years.

What does your role entail?

I am fortunate to be the Redland Hospital Fund representative that builds and grows relationships with our major donors and our donors who have decided to leave Redland Hospital a gift in their will. I keep in touch and send updates to each and every one in the areas that they are interested in. I ensure that their generous gifts are utilised in the best possible way to deliver better healthcare for our communities and show our donors the impact that their donations make. I share new and exciting research with these donors and demonstrate to them the compounding benefit of their support.

What do you love most about your job?

Having the opportunity to build long-term relationships with very generous people who are deeply invested in our mission, who share our vision for long-term change and who want to make a meaningful contribution.

Then being able to connect their gifts to specific outcomes so that our donors can see the direct impact of their generosity.

What is your main message for the Redland community about Gifts in Wills or major gifts?

We appreciate any gift, large or small. Every single gift is important as it is the compounding effect of all our donors’ gifts that enable us to achieve improvements in healthcare.

If you are not in a position to contribute now, perhaps you would consider a legacy gift via a small contribution in your will after you have looked after your family and friends.

We can allocate your gift to the highest healthcare need or to a specific health area, e.g. cancer so that future generations can have access to life-changing healthcare.
